Another asset of Milwaukee is that it is within an hour and a half’s drive from Chicago, making it even more of a strategic location. With more than 150 parks and 20,000 acres of land for the sole purpose of recreation, it is an amazing place to play. Golf courses, pools, marinas, and other aquatic centers are scattered throughout the scene. Wisconsin’s winters are harsh, but it makes up for plenty of it during the warmer months.

For sports enthusiasts looking for Wisconsin real estate, there is the entire spectrum of professional sports Milwaukee has to offer. It holds a professional basketball, baseball, and NPSL soccer team with the Green Bay Packers just a bit out of town. Another small town worth considering for Wisconsin real estate is Madison. Home to the University of Wisconsin, it is a college town which has been ranked as one of the top 10 places to live in the country. It offers everything that a large city does while maintaining its college town roots. As of this moment, Wisconsin real estate is pretty cheap compared to other states. A small home in Madison will cost you in the $150,000 to $200,000 range while the same sized home in Milwaukee costs around $100,000 to $120,000. Appreciation rates are slightly lower than the country average at 7 percent throughout the state.
